Regional Sales Manager - West Coast / Southwest & Mountain States

Litelab Corp is looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team! Regional Sales Managers should be willing to travel throughout their designated region, and attend regular strategy and training sessions at the corporate headquarters in Buffalo, NY. They should be self-driven and success-oriented, excellent communicators, with a customer-focused mentality. Sales Managers should have knowledge of the market, as well as sufficient architectural and technical knowledge to guide specifications and custom design projects, as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and establish new sales relationship opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Lighting Designers, and Architects in your territories.
  • Call on key accounts in the architectural and design community.
  • Collaborate with the design engineering department on new product ideas.
  • Work with engineering department on requests for custom products.
  • Help to develop a sales forecast for the specifiers that you service.
  • Demonstrate strong technical and product knowledge as well as a commitment to continuous improvement with your customers and sales techniques.
  • Train and manage the assigned representatives in your region.

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of lighting design and fixture manufacturing techniques
  • Must be able to solve lighting problems working directly with specifiers.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the lighting, design or architecture industry
  • Must be successful in working with various levels of customer management and different business groups, both internal and external to your customer
  • Demonstrate a high level of account retention and performance in a competitive market.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Understands fundamentals of business, finance, selling and customer relations

Manufacturing Engineer

The primary role for this key position is to serve as a single point of contact for all technical issues related to manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly of all Litelab products. The candidate will be expected to influence and collaborate with departments for product engineering and to effectively manage all manufacturing processes, ensuring that manufacturability, repeatability, process control, quality and cost reduction goals are considered and met at every stage. This key member of our team will be responsible for the development of processes, tools, and documentation across several production facilities.

Responsibilities:

Engineering

  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

Quality

  • Act as point person for quality issues and qualifies product coming from vendors and suppliers, as well as other Litelab facilities for compliance to standards. Helps establish and document those standards when needed in order to support Litelab's worldwide growth. This role will require some travel.
  • Work in tandem with production and QC support staff to establish standards of quality and best practice in the enforcement and adherence of said QC methods.

Operations

  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, using knowledge of product engineering, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.
  • Applies lean, 5s and other methodologies in the context of production cell layouts, equipment setting, manufacturing processes, machining, and fabrication procedures, etc.

Requirements & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or commiserate manufacturing experience with an emphasis on sheet metal fabrication.
  • A proven track record with 5-8 years of hands-on experience in a fast paced, high product mix, manufacturing environment. Electronics, appliance, metalwork, or fabrication related experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and equipment, tooling, assembly processes, fabrication and quality inspection procedures are all essential.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Technological Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of CAD, Solidworks, Pro-E, or similar
  • Familiarity with ERP software and methodologies
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook

$68,000.00 - $85,000.00 based on experience.

Project Estimator

Litelab Corp is looking for a qualified Project Estimator to join our team. Candidates should be familiar with electrical and architectural drawings, and capable of providing detailed project analysis, take-offs, bills of materials and project estimates. Project Estimator(s) work closely with the Sales, Project Coordination and Engineering teams to provide timely and accurate quotations and bills of materials for residential, retail, corporate, institutional and cultural projects of varying scales and complexity.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine the value of a project by analyzing project documents and developing comprehensive take-offs and bills of materials to meet project expectations
  • Collect and maintain proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents so that project parameters can be communicated throughout the organization
  • Evaluate project documents to ensure accuracy based on layout, specification and related product
  • Liaise with engineering department for cost on custom product, and to ensure project integrity
  • Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Review and update cost databases in coordination with accounting
  • Prepare special reports and / or summaries for presentation to internal teams, including Project Coordination, Sales, Engineering and Production
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending workshops and training sessions
  • Manage bid pricing for all quotes
  • Assist in the development of long-term estimating strategies and assist in their implementation

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytic skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in mathematics, statistics and data analysis
  • Ability to read and interpret technical, electrical and architectural drawings
  • Familiarity with data management software, including Excel
  • Knowledge of CAD software
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an estimator in the lighting, electrical or construction industries

Salary Range:

$55,000.00 - $83,000.00 based on experience.
