Knife Edges and Offset Walls
However, two design concepts separate Litelab Linear Slots from the competition. Almost all are equipped with knife edges at the ceiling plane (excluding wood ceiling systems), allowing for a clean ceiling plane with maximum fixture focus angle from the smallest aperture width. And – Linear Slots have walls that are offset from the aperture edges. This has two benefits;  a greater focusing angle and minimal aperture slot and an elegant appearance in the ceiling as if the fixture were suspended in the aperture in the ceiling.
